Even though are vegetables and herbs are raised organically, all garden produce should be washed before eating. This practive removes any dirt, insects, bacteria, or animal waste that might tag along as the produce is harvested. Washing our produce just became easier with the installation of a hose-operated produce washing station near our garden. The station contains a flat work surface, a screened spray zone, and a sink. Water drains into a bucket to be recylced and used to water the beds! Local teen Gavin Boparai designed and built the station for his Boy Scout Troop 59 Eagle Scout project.
