Pollinator Gardens

May contain: animal, bee, insect, honey bee, invertebrate, apidae, pollen, and plant

Volunteers from the Elk Grove Garden Club, led by Master Gardener Carmen Schindler, are donating their talent and time to design, plant, and care for our ever-blooming floral gardens.  These special gardens provide food and habitat for many resident pollinator species. Pollination is a crucial step in our food production. Visit these beautiful gardens in our raised bed area and also take the time to study our related informative exhibits on pollination, the lifecycle of fruit trees,  and the secret lives of bees. These exhibits were sponsored by the Sacramento County Farm Bureau and Spease Bees. How many different pollinator species can you spot in the garden or orchard?.
